Walgreens receives a perfect score for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
For the 15th year, Walgreens has received a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2021 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), the foremost benchmarking tool for U.S. businesses measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ in the workplace. Walgreens joins the ranks of 767 major U.S. businesses that also earned top marks this year.
The CEI rates companies on detailed criteria falling under four central pillars:
- Non-discrimination policies across business entities
- Equitable benefits for LGBTQ workers and their families
- Supporting an inclusive culture
- Corporate social responsibility

In addition, Walgreens has been named in the top 50 employers for the disabled by CAREERS & the disABLED Magazine, which recognizes the professional and personal achievements of outstanding individuals with disabilities.
