Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy earns accreditations from URAC, ACHC

Accreditations reinforce company’s commitment to serving patients with utmost quality and care

DEERFIELD, Ill., MARCH 31, 2025 – Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy has received full accreditation from URAC for its Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation 5.0 program. In addition to this, Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy also received accreditation from Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for additional community-based Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy locations. 

URAC is a leading independent healthcare accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the healthcare industry. Walgreens earned full accredited status in the URAC Specialty Pharmacy, Version 5.0 Program. 

ACHC is an internationally recognized accrediting body committed to providers, customer service, and quality patient care. ACHC granted additional Walgreen Specialty Pharmacy community-based locations the ACHC Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation.   

Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy is proud to work with both URAC and ACHC for these accreditations as they demonstrate the company’s commitment to providing patients with quality care. Accreditations are key to the success of specialty pharmacies as it is a process through which healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national specialty pharmacy standards.

The URAC award is effective from February 1, 2025, to January 1, 2028. This ACHC award is effective from December 17, 2024, to June 28, 2027.
