Walgreens to Host Its Annual Shareholders' Meeting Jan. 12

DEERFIELD, Ill., Jan.11, 2011 - Walgreens (NYSE: WAG) (NASDAQ: WAG) Annual Shareholders’ Meeting will take place Wednesday, Jan. 12 at 2 p.m. central time in the Grand Ballroom at Chicago’s Navy Pier. Management will review the company’s performance and substantial progress throughout 2010, and outline opportunities to grow and enhance value for shareholders. All Walgreens shareholders are invited to attend.

The meeting will be simulcast through Walgreens investor relations website at: http://investor.walgreens.com. A replay of the meeting will be available beginning Jan. 14 and will be archived on the website for 12 months. A podcast also will be available on the investor relations website.
