Easter Sunday is coming up on April 20, falling later in the spring than in recent years. This gives shoppers extra time to scoop up all the Easter eggs, real or faux, that they’ll need for their festivities.
“To prepare for a longer Easter season this year, we added additional finishes, colors and sizes of fillable plastic Easter eggs to give customers more variety and options,” says Lia Imhoff, associate category manager of confections, celebrations and general merchandise. “We hope to see more outdoor egg hunts this year with the later timing.”
While Walgreens does sell real eggs at many of its stores, Walgreens customers bought over 20x more plastic fillable eggs than real eggs in the two weeks leading up to last Easter*.

Try the selection of pre-made baskets for grab-and-go gifting.
