Lorri Walmsley received her degree in pharmacy from the Ohio State University. She is a 23-year veteran of Walgreens and has held a number of roles within the organization before joining the support center. In her current role as Director of Pharmacy Affairs with Walgreens, Lorri works as the liaison with Boards of Pharmacy in the Western third of the US and is responsible for providing feedback on proposed rules and boards’ activities and working with other external stakeholders on pharmacy practice-related matters.
She is a Fellow and Past-President of the Arizona Pharmacy Association and past Chair of the Arizona Pharmacy Association PharmPAC. A career-long member of APhA, Lorri has been an active member of the APhA House of Delegates since 2014.
Lorri was appointed by Governor Doug Ducey of Arizona to the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy in 2018 and is currently the acting Chairperson of the Board. Since her appointment to the Arizona Board, she has been a very active member of the National Association Boards of Pharmacy. She has served on numerous Task Forces and Standing Committees of the Association and was recently re-elected as the Chairperson for NABP District 8. Most recently Lorri was appointed to serve on the AACP Professional Affairs Committee.
Lorri is the recipient of the 2016 Amerisource Bergen Incoming President’s Award, the 2016 NCPA Pharmacy Leadership Award, the 2017 Arizona Pharmacy Association’s Outstanding Leadership Award, and the 2019 Arizona Pharmacy Association’s Pharmacist of the Year Award.
