Walgreens is committed to helping people who are impacted by the Maui wildfires get access to their medications and aiding in recovery efforts.
Walgreens is committed to helping victims of the Maui wildfires get access to their medications. Although our store at 342 Keawe Street is temporarily closed, patients can contact one of two locations on the Island at 700 Waiale Rd (808-872-9742) or 10 East Kamehameha (808-872-3301) to get their medications filled. Delivery will be available at one central pick-up location in Lahaina. Patients can get a 30-day supply of medications even if there are no refills left with some exclusions in compliance with state and federal law. Walgreens will support impacted persons to obtain their medications including by contacting prescribers for needed refills, transferring prescriptions from other pharmacies, or by providing emergency refills if documentation of prior prescription history can be provided. Patients should call their local Walgreens pharmacy for options and information required to fill their prescription.
Walgreens is also helping in the recovery effort by making a $100,000 donation to the Hawaii Community Foundation Maui Strong Fund, donating $25,000 worth of needed products to the American Red Cross, and donating an additional $5,000 worth of products to the Na Aikane O Maui Cultural Center. Walgreens customers in Arizona, California, Oregon, Hawaii, and Washington State will soon be able to contribute to the American Red Cross Maui Fund by donating in-store via pin-pad.
