WBA featured in Microsoft’s ‘What’s Next for Industry’ event
Microsoft and WBA discuss how businesses are responding to new market demands in unique and innovative ways with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
On Feb. 24, Microsoft hosted a press event headlined by CEO Satya Nadella focused on the future of industry and how technology is helping industries reimagine their businesses and plan for the future. As part of the event, Microsoft created a video that includes perspectives from some of its most innovative and forward-looking customers, including Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA), about how businesses are responding to new market demands in unique and innovative ways with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“We've accelerated our efforts using Microsoft technologies to drive that next level of customer experience and care,” said Mike Maresca, global chief technology officer, WBA, as part of the event. “In everything we do across WBA, we need to have a customer-first approach, and Microsoft has helped us do that. The entire Microsoft team has created a long-standing partnership by closely working with our team to ensure we have the right solution and support for our needs.
“For instance, our partnership with Adobe and Microsoft to create a world-class marketing technology and customer data platform. This partnership allows us to harness the insights and deliver more engaging and personalized experiences while also respecting the fact that there are privacy choices of our patients and our customers. We’re both two great companies coming together in this time where our patients and customers need us to innovate and to improve patient outcomes. And because of this, I believe that the next phase of WBA’s digital transformation is going to be powered by partnerships that Microsoft has enabled.”
