Vaccine clinic rolls into Chicago's Hispanic community

Mobile clinics bring COVID-19 vaccines right to the nation’s most vulnerable, such as this recent pop-up in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood.
Walgreens Stories
Walgreens hit the road this spring, bringing the COVID-19 vaccine into local communities, such as Chicago’s predominantly Hispanic Little Village neighborhood. Mobile clinics are just one of the many ways Walgreens is creating equitable vaccine access for those who need it most.

“Latinos are frontline workers. They’re the restaurant workers, the hotel workers. They’re the ones who have been holding the economy steady since this all began,” said George Cardenas, Alderman for Chicago’s 12th Ward, during the Little Village clinic. “This is an essential part of healing and helping get people in this community back on its feet and keeping them healthy.”

Watch as Little Village residents and local Walgreens pharmacists share what it means to them to give their community its shot at getting back to normal.
