Recycled, reworked, rewarded
Discover how Boots UK and No7’s first-to-market recycling initiative is tackling hard-to-recycle health, beauty and wellness products.
With more and more of us becoming aware of the impact our actions are having on the environment, choosing to recycle is a simple and sustainable step that we can weave into our everyday routines.
While many of us take the time to recycle the cardboard box from our online delivery or the plastic packaging from our grocery shopping, how many of us spare a thought for the hard-to-recycle waste in our bathrooms, medicine cabinets, and make-up bags?
Helping customers to shop and consume more sustainably, Boots UK recently launched a new recycling initiative in partnership with No7. Committed to becoming a more sustainable business, WBA’s British retail brand is encouraging everyone to bring back their empty, hard-to-recycle, health, beauty and wellness products.
Available in over 50 Boots stores across the UK, the first-to-market initiative makes it easier than ever to recycle and get rewarded. Customers simply register for the technology via the Boots Scan2Recycle website; scan their empty product using their mobile phone; visit a participating Boots store to deposit their products at a recycle point; and then scan to receive their reward. For every 5 products recycled, customers will be rewarded with 500 Boots Advantage Card points, worth £5, to spend in store or online on boots.com.
But the benefits don’t end there. The deposited products are sent to Boots UK’s recycling partner, ReWorked, where they are transformed into new items such as reusable storage containers, which are now being used in Boots warehouses.
