WBA is seeking an Auditor to join our Global Internal Audit team in Nottingham. This is a permanent role with the flexibility to work a hybrid model between home and work locations.

About the role

You will operate as part of our independent and objective team to provide assurance to the WBA Board, Audit Committee and other key stakeholders on the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal controls, and make recommendations to support their improvement.

The Responsibilities of the Auditor role include:
• Completing assigned audit activities to time and quality under the direction of team members, and in accordance with the Internal Audit Methodology. The Auditor will be involved in all stages of the audit lifecycle, being: Planning; Fieldwork; Reporting and Follow Up.
• Utilising a range of audit techniques including data analysis tools and procedures; adapting approaches to test processes effectively and efficiency.
• Support the drafting of succinct, clear and balanced audit findings for inclusion in the fieldwork update meeting slides and reports.
• Supporting the tracking of the completion of actions required to rectify audit issues identified in the audit reports, escalating overdues.
• Working on audits across WBA spanning a number of countries, requiring business knowledge, networking and relationship building skills, as well as the ability to recognise and adapt to different cultures and ways of working.

What you'll need to have

• Accounting Professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CIMA, ACCA, MBA, CMIIA or equivalent) or formal qualification in Internal Audit (CIA)
• Technical knowledge of internal audit practice, governance, risk management and internal control with relevant practical experience.
• Strong academic qualifications including a bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate and/or summarise technical issues.
• Naturally inquisitive, self-motivated with high attention to detail.
• Ability to operate in a team, demonstrating adaptability to ensure successful delivery of team and personal objectives.

It would be great if you also have:

• Basic experience of advanced audit techniques including programme assurance, contract risk, data analytics and risk/control advisory.
• Basic knowledge of financial reporting standards (US GAAP, IFRS), Sarbanes Oxley type compliance programmes; auditing large programmes and knowledge of programme governance frameworks (PRINCE2, Agile, MSP) is highly desirable.

• Reviewing the completion and quality of work performed by peers and less experienced team members (Auditor, Graduate) to ensure conclusions reached are supported, and that controls in respect of identified risks have been appropriately tested.
• Developing and agreeing with auditees actions which are adequate, appropriate and proportionate to remediate the risk. Requiring skills in persuasion, negotiation and relationship management.
• Working with relevant stakeholders to track and close agreed actions required to rectify audit issues, escalating any overdues as required.
• Coordinating teams and individuals – where applicable, motivating, leading, coaching and supporting Auditor and Graduate team members.

• Provides direction for application architecture and deployment in cloud environments.

What you’ll need to have:

• Experience as a Cloud Architect with successful track history in leading technical architecture discussions with stakeholders at all levels (i.e. senior management, project/programme management, Applications/Service Management and DevOps teams) to deliver secure and compliant cloud infrastructure solutions
• Experience of designing Microsoft Azure based cloud solutions
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based (IaaS, PaaS & SaaS) technologies, in particular Microsoft Azure
• Experience of successfully designing and deploying solutions in complex multi-vendor projects and where necessary, managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solution/projects
• Experience and understanding of large-scale multi-tier infrastructure deployments in global enterprise environments

Demonstrates innovative methods of cloud based IAAS / PaaS deployments and modern scripting tools to quickly launch, shut down and re-launch platforms and applications using modern and innovative scripted techniques on in an agile accelerating approach and realizing business outcomes, while keeping alignment with the business vision. Also act as a coach for operational excellence to other teams.
• Provide leadership to proper cloud-native operations management. This includes proper “key management” and “controlled operations” for continuous deployments. They will also ensure quality of service for highly complex deployments with source code control, automation, understanding of scripted service-based environments into IAAS/PaaS ecosystems, with business continuity in mind.
• Ability to start with the business strategy and develop an engineering approach that builds extensible frameworks and architectures that tackle a range of future opportunities that help our customers do things quicker and easily in a self-serve environment.
• Manage strategic global systems configuration and deployment within platform, providing proper discipline and rigor as we deploy new innovative solutions to produce insights that impact our portfolio.
• Sets financial, operational and quality objectives for the team; develops and manages department budget and an operational plan; deliver against business goals/objectives.

What you’ll need to have:

• Experience with public cloud architecture, Cloud strategy, networking, security, compliance workload types, migration patterns and tools.
• Experience with various enterprise applications and IT services, as well as software development, compliance and security, and IT operations disciplines.
• Knowledge of cloud design patterns, cloud operations and cloud cost models with experience implementing best practices or suggested improvements.
• Experience suggesting competitive and innovative technical decisions, obtaining client buy-in and delivering on commitments
• Experience re-architecting applications for cloud platforms.
• Experience leading a large, highly technical team in a matrix organization.
• Knowledge of app & data architectures and cloud native patterns for development, etc.

It would be great if you also had:

• 5 years of leading engineering teams or 3 years as a lead engineer

Nottingham Support Office
Full Time – Secondment / Fixed Term Contract until March 2023

As a Product Technologist at the No7 Beauty Company, you will responsible for delivering formulation development through our 3rd party supplier base. You will support the delivery of the Brand 3-year plans by partnering with a diverse team of internal stakeholders and 3rd parties to ensure that our chosen formulations deliver against the consumer, category and brand requirements.

You will work in a team of technical experts to deliver the new formulation solutions for a specific Category/Brand within agreed time, cost and QSR standards.

About the opportunity

Reporting to a Formulation Manager you will have accountability for ensuring the performance and quality of the products you work on.

• You will use your technical expertise in the relevant category area to support our third party product supplier base
• Use scientific knowledge to optimise the product brief and challenge thinking around product selection
• You will work with a cross functional team to define the project activity plan
• You will be accountable for availability, quality and accuracy of data and technical documentation
• You will conduct all necessary due diligence checks and be accountable for identifying and effectively managing formulation technical risks

About you

• You will have technical experience in product development, ideally within the cosmetics category
• You will be confident in communicating with external suppliers and with internal stakeholders
• You will have a good understanding of the development processes
• You will have excellent project management skills and work collaboratively with a cross functional team
